Jane Genshin Shuman is the co-leader of Twining Vines Sangha.   She began practice in 1991 and was ordained as a Zen priest by Susan Ji-on Postal in the lineage of Maurine Stuart Roshi in 1997.  She was re-ordained by Misha Shungen Merrill in the San Francisco Zen Center lineage in 2008 and received Dharma Transmission in 2011.  

 

 

Patty Jishin Pecoraro is the co-leader of Twining Vines Sangha.   She has been practicing in the Zen tradition since 1993 and was ordained as a Zen priest by Misha Shungen Merrill of Zen Heart Sangha in California in 2005.   She is involved in hospice work and service to the dying.

 

 

 

Misha Shungen Merrill, the guiding teacher of Twining Vines Sangha, is the primary teacher for Zen Heart Sangha in Menlo Park and Woodside, California and has been practicing Zen since 1984. She was ordained as a Zen priest in 1988 and received Dharma Transmission in 1998 from Les Kaye Roshi, the abbot of Kannon Do Zen Center and dharma heir in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, the founder of San Francisco Zen Center. Misha is a member of the administration at Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA.
